It appears MTEX Technologies’ UK first showing of the newly launched MTEX Vision with direct disperse inks and the MTEX 1800 direct disperse dye sublimation printer really caught the imagination of visitors at this year’s Sign & Digital UK and by all accounts, drew in the crowds to the company’s stand.

Stewart Bell, Managing Director of MTEX Technologies said: “We had a very busy three days, with visitors from all around the UK and Ireland coming to see our total turnkey direct-to-textile print solutions.

“The MTEX booth was non-stop, printing samples and demonstrating to visitors who were especially interested in our in-line heat sublimation, and the ability to print and fix the ink in one go instead of needing an extra heat calendar.”

The MTEX turnkey solutions have been developed to allow businesses enter the textile printing market from a standing start, whether they want to focus on fashion, apparel, industrial or decor. The company maintains it is the only one worldwide that delivers every element of the equipment required for textile production including the site survey, site plans and installation, rather than just one or two pieces in a jigsaw puzzle of different suppliers.

The MTEX Vision

The new 1.85m wide MTEX Vision is designed to offer an alternative production method to transfer printing, and offers direct printing onto four-way stretch fabrics with excellent and vibrant colours, and deep dense blacks.

There’s no paper involved, with print and fix as one process. The Vision is available now with direct disperse inks for polyester, reactive and acid inks for cotton and silk, and it will soon have a pigment ink option for polycotton and natural fibre fabrics.

The MTEX 1800

This direct-to-fabric sublimation printing solution with integrated fixation is billed as the ideal and affordable solution for sign makers and graphic display professionals. Built to the exacting standards expected from MTEX, the 1800 is the younger brother to the flagship 3.2m wide MTEX 5032Pro printer, which is a market leading 3.2m wide textile printer in the industry today.
