The British Sign Awards is organised and held annually by the British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA), which is a trade organisation for the British sign industry, and is judged by an independent panel of experts. Open to all UK-based businesses, the event was established to acknowledge and reward achievement in the British sign industry, with awards covering everything from traditional methods through to digital technology and recognising the diversity that exists today.

“Soyang Europe is sponsoring the Wideformat Project of the Year category at the British Sign Awards for the second year running in order to help celebrate the great creativity within the sign industry,” explains managing director, Mark Mashiter. “We have a strong desire to be involved and as we celebrate our 10th birthday this summer, it’s a good time to take a look at the talent that’s out there and acknowledge how the blank canvas we provide by way of rolls of media is being transformed into exciting projects.”

Mashiter discusses the benefits to sign makers in getting involved in the awards; “The British Sign Awards is a great opportunity for signmakers and those involved in the industry to stand up and show off something special they’ve achieved or produced. It can be very inspiring to be involved with (and win) an industry award and it provides exposure and credibility for the sign maker. So many of Soyang’s materials enable our customers to be highly creative and the BSA is an ideal showcase for signmakers to demonstrate their skills and craftsmanship.”
