Winter SunThe early winter afternoon sunshine brings a nice glow to an otherwise bleak and dark day, cascading with rain, except for those endless e-mails, half of which are rubbish.

As editor of DPNlive I have to look at all of them, some are important, the others end up as simply time consuming.

But it’s great sometimes when something craws out of the woodwork, a story that merits an article, because it conveys all the qualities, ethos, passion about large format print.

One such piece will be published this weekend; entitled’ Dublin Web Summit ‘Selects the Best!’

It’s all about Dublin based Select Digital Print Group and its 24/7 dedication to ‘going that extra mile’ to deliver for its clients.

Add in a call from the Facebook team looking for help and that extra ‘bit of spice’ needed to pile on the pressure just cements the piece.

I have also mentioned in recent editorials http://dpnlive.com/index.php/news/general-news/editorial/2716-editorial-comment the amount of special Christmas promotions that have begun to appear from machine suppliers, such as ‘special offers, trade-ins, roadshows’, which in my opinion is definitely an indication that all is not that well in large format land, contrary to perception.
