Objet joined the Materialise World Conference in Leuven, Belgium, last month as a Platinum Sponsor. The leading provider of high quality, cost effective inkjet-based 3D printing systems and materials presented two sessions to help the audience understand the advantages of 3D printing. A global company, Objet is headquartered in Israel and has offices in North America, Europe, Japan, China, Hong Kong, and India.
Materialise is a three-day annual conference which brings together experts from around the world to experience to discuss 3D printing and additive manufacturing technology and solutions.
As a part of the Additive Manufacturing Summit, Andy Middleton, general manager, Europe, Objet, described current trends in the fast-moving world of 3D printing in a session entitled Insider’s Vision.
“The Materialise World Conference provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to understand the 3D printing and additive manufacturing applications that are happening right now and get a real grasp of where the industry is going,” he said.
Andy Langfeld, European sales operations manager, Objet, was part of the Medical Innovation Conference and addressed 3D printing and digital dentistry. He described how – with a combination of oral scanning, CAD/CAM design and 3D printing – dental labs can accurately and rapidly produce a range of dental and orthodontic appliances. Langfeld said this method increased accuracy and efficiency, cut production times and enabled business growth.
