Company looking for 200 new OEM customers for Konica Minolta at exhibition.

John Corrall “IIJ has a reputation for straight-talking and will explain what the problems will be – not just the benefits”John Corrall “IIJ has a reputation for straight-talking and will explain what the problems will be – not just the benefits”

UK based Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ) said it will be on a customer-finding mission for itself and Konica Minolta at drupa in Dusseldorf, Germany, from 31 May to 10 June. The company is an expanding leader in industrial inkjet bespoke systems and will have a team based on Konica Minolta’s booth (Stand A65, Hall 8B) at the exhibition.

Over the 10 days of the show, IIJ’s highly specialist staff will be offering “deep” technical advice and guidance on the use of inkjet printing to drupa visitors as well as handling any enquiries about the use of Konica Minolta inkjet technology.

Current market segments in which IIJ is helping customers include direct-to-product printing, packaging, security printing and high-speed commercial printing, including labels. However, John Corrall, Managing Director of IIJ, explained:

“Inkjet is expanding rapidly into new markets and applications, and each of these brings their own new requirements.

“What Konica Minolta and IIJ offer is an open-minded attitude to new projects, and a willingness to give straight technical advice – without sales pressure. We have a reputation for straight-talking and will explain what the problems will be – not just the benefits.”

“We invest hundreds of thousands of pounds in producing print samples for our potential customers each year and we have just completed the first phase of a new £2million training centre near our UK headquarters.

“Any potential OEM component business in the West will be handled by us at drupa. From experience, we are likely to find at least 200 new OEM customers for Konica Minolta at the event. We are sure that these customers will represent new market opportunities that in five or 10 years will have become mainstream.”

Typical IIJ customers range from forward-thinking niche integrators, manufacturers, printers, packaging companies and blue-chip global brands, as well as ink suppliers.

IIJ’s global expertise lies in its ability to deliver solutions for the design, implementation, production and servicing of production inkjet systems. However, much of IIJ’s work is so highly sensitive that as a rule, it cannot talk about its customers or specific applications.

IIJ is the official sales and technical support centre for Konica Minolta industrial inkjet outside of Asia, providing advice on all inkjet technology in industrial applications. IIJ exclusively uses Konica Minolta inkjet print head technologies.
