Designed to be cost-effective and deliver high quality results.

New iS rangeUK headquartered, Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ), has released details about its new range of compact; single-pass high speed print engines which it says are cost-effective and will be welcomed by label printers.

The IIJ Colour and MonoPrint iS range, which feature the latest printheads from Konica Minolta, are now commercially available with full variable information software. They run at speeds of up to 50 metres per minute in full colour printing or mono using 6 picolitre drop sizes, which is less than half the previous 14pl size, developed to provide a huge leap forward in print quality.

The flexibility of the iS systems  includes a custom-build service option for all the models – the MonoPrint 72, 142, 282 Slim and 352 Slim and Colour Print 72, 142, 282 and 352.

Print samples will be shown in public for the first time on IIJ’s booth 3710 at Labelexpo Americas at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Chicago, from 9-11 September, 2014.

IIJ print engines are designed to be easily integrated into a customer's existing production line. Each is fitted with Konica Minolta printheads, which includes the latest version, the KM1024iM, providing three times the speed of its popular KM1024 head without enlarging the footprint.

New iS range New iS range Paddy O’Hara, Director of Technology for IIJ, said: “These cost-effective, compact iS systems provide extremely high quality results and are another reason why inkjet is increasingly becoming the printing technology of choice for most industrial applications. This, combined with our experience and Konica Minolta’s inkjet offering, will help us grow market share even more, particularly as our print engines are designed to be easily integrated into a customer’s existing production line.”

He added: “The feedback from customers who have been using the new systems on pilot projects has been extremely positive.”

IIJ, an independent company founded by managing director John Corrall nine years ago, is also the official sales and technical support centre for Konica Minolta products outside of Asia, offering advice on any aspect of the use of inkjet technology in industrial applications.
