It was also chosen as one of five finalists for the n the Enterprise/Vertical Market, General Business Solution category. These accolades are an acknowledgement of the increased importance enterprises are now placing on enabling users of tablets and smartphones to print from their devices.
The 2012 Mobile Merit Awards recognise companies, individuals and technologies that have shaped the way in which the world communicates. This year's winners were judged based on industry impact, innovation, technologies, social importance, implementation and overall success factor. The CTIA E-Tech Awards honour the most innovative new products in 15 categories including mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise and infrastructure. Hundreds of entries were judged by a panel of recognized industry experts and media analysts, and scored on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall "wow" factor.
EFI said that PrintMe Mobile is the only enterprise software that enables direct Wi-Fi printing from iPads, iPhones and Android devices, from within the application they are using, to any existing network printer regardless of brand. Users can select print within their application and choose one of the printers that automatically populate in a drop-down menu. PrintMe Mobile works across multiple subnets, is scalable to thousands of users, and provides impressive management and job reporting capabilities for IT administrators. The software is simple to use, manage, and deploy, often installing in less than 20 minutes.
